Hi, you are on the job search and information page for regional fruit picking work around New South Wales. below is a list of areas where you may find work in and around the towns of New South Wales. We are slowly adding more information as we go and eventually cover all types of casual work to help backpackers who have working holiday visas find work whilst in Australia this will cover,  sheep farms, cattle farms, Orchards, Pubs, and any over work we can find you.  Basically we will try help you with all sorts of work so that you can have the best experience possible when in Oz.

  • Batlow: Batlow is 450km south west of Sydney where there is work pruning and picking apples and pears from December to May. For more details on fruit picking in Batlow
  • Bourke: Located on the banks of the Darling River. Bourke has casual work from April to May for cotton chippers and the stone fruit harvest from November to December.
  • Cessnock: Cessnock in the Hunter Valley has some opportunities in January harvesting grapes.
  • Coffs Harbour: Coffs Harbour situated on the NSW north coast is about 580Ks from Sydney has work blueberry picking (Woolgoolga area) as well as bananas .
  • Cowra: Cowra is about 300 km west of Sydney. its famous for its wineries and wartime history. here you have opportunities for grape harvesting during the period February to April.
  • Forbes: Forbes well to the west of Sydney has work apple and pear harvesting from November until late March.
  • Griffith: Griffith is a major agricultural area and has work all year round with grapes, onions, and citrus harvesting.
  • Leeton: Leeton is in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area and has a range of harvesting work mostly in the February to March period.
  • Narrabri: Narrabri is 600km north west of Sydney part of the Northern Inland
  • Region and located halfway between Brisbane and Sydney. It is two and a half hours from the Queensland border and is well serviced by road, rail and air. Narrabri is the cotton capital of Australia and has a lot of work in the cotton industry with growth in the mining and gas exploration industries.
  • Narromine: Narromine lies on the Macquarie River over 400 km from Sydney. Work is available on the citrus orchards from May until December.
  • Orange: Orange is west of Sydney and a good area for fruit picking mainly apples and cherries.Orange is part of the Central Western region of NSW and has a diverse business and industry base. Orange and Bathurst are the regions main towns and only 250ks from Sydney.
  • Young: Young is very popular with backpackers and an area for cherry and stone fruits. Most of the work is form late October until the end of December. Work is also available from February.
