Job Description

The Oyster Farm Shop on Kangaroo Island is looking for a Farm Shop Supervisor. This is 3 month position starting in November 2018 to 31 January 2019. What an awesome way to experience Kangaroo Island!
20-35 hours per week, Fast Food Award level 3 casual rates, weekday and weekend work required
own transport essential, accommodation can be provided

Come and work for us during the Summer season while the weather is warm and enjoy the beautiful beaches and friendly locals!

Applicants must be able to work under pressure while still providing excellent customer service. We work as a team - with farm and shop staff working together to provide visitors with an awesome on-farm experience.

Successful applicant will be well organised and outcome focused, hard working, honest 'all-rounders' with a good head for numbers. The role will involve providing an on-farm experience to visitors, quality control, supervising staff, stock management, lunch menu and retail preparation and sales, processing and packaging, cleaning, and more.

Experience & Knowledge

Applicants must have at least 5 years experience in hospitality and have experience supervising in hospitality/tourism, be able to provide excellent customer service, have excellent communication skills, take pride in their work, enjoy working with food (with a focus on local produce), and be confident to run daily land-based tours of the oyster farm (training provided).
